University of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball
The Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team, represents the University of Kentucky and is the winningest team in the history of college basketball, both in all-time wins and all-time winning percentage. As of the end of the 2007-2008 season, Kentucky is the all-time winningest team in Division I Men's Basketball with 1,966 victories. Kentucky is also the leader in NCAA tournament appearances, NCAA tournament wins, NCAA tournament games, and ranks second to UCLA in NCAA championships with 7. In addition to those titles, Kentucky also won the National Invitational Tournament in 1946 and 1976. The team is often referred to as the "Big Blue".

Indiana Hoosiers coach Bobby Knight passed Smith in 2000 with his 880th win. Knight retired in 2008 holding the all time NCAA record with 902 lifetime victories.
