Kansas City Royals Tickets

Kansas City is home to the Royals a major league baseball franchise that has seen it’s share of ups and downs. The demand for Kansas City Royals game tickets has been down rather then up for what seems to be an eternity. The Royals have had their share of success, however they have just not been able to maintain any kind of consistency over the past 10-15 years.

The Royals have had plenty of superstars on their rosters in the past, some Hall of Famers, they have just not had the right players at the right time. Over the past 10 years the Kansas City Royals have been marked down as a “win” on most opponent’s schedules, this doesn’t mean they do not have the capability, it simply means that they are not as respected as they once were. Not only has the demand for tickets dropped in Kansas City, it seems to drop wherever the Royals play. The lack of stardom has hurt the Royals fan base, the lack of winning has hurt that even more. Originally known as Royals Stadium, this ballpark is recognized throughout baseball as one the game's most beautiful. The stadium has played host to the 1973 All-Star Game, playoff games in 1976, '77, '78, '80, '81, '84, and '85, and seven World Series tilts in 1980 and 1985. The stadium was renamed in honor of team owner Ewing M. Kauffman in July 1993; he passed away a month later. A grass playing field replaced the artificial surface at Kauffman Stadium prior to the 1995 season. For the 2004 season, the Royals moved the outfield fence in the alleys and straight-away center back 10 feet to their original dimensions of 385 and 410 feet, respectively. In addition, the height of the fence was reduced from nine feet to eight feet and the warning track was changed to a natural surface.

The Royals have been a main stay in Kansas City for some time now. Kansas City fans are some of the best, most educated fans in baseball. It won’t take much for the demand for Kansas City Royals game tickets to improve, the first step is to acquire everyday superstars, so the average Royals fan has a reason to come out.
